On January 11, 2021 (11 AM CST), Zonta Club of Birmingham (AL/US) will host a live, interactive Human Trafficking 101 event with guest presenter and Human Trafficking trainer, Amy Wagar, in Birmingham, AL. Amy Wagar, Human Trafficking Trainer & Victim’s Advocate

In 2011, Amy began her fight against sex trafficking by creating awareness efforts and advocating for victims’ rights to address this issue across Birmingham, Alabama metro area. Currently, she is a Trainer for the Child Trafficking Solutions Project, training law enforcement. She is also an Advocate for Worthy2 working with sex trafficking survivors. Amy is passionate about developing leaders in this field and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars throughout the southeast. She also spends a lot of time developing trauma informed training protocols and outreach programs to serve victim/survivors as well as those who seek to purchase sex and perpetuate the problem of sex trafficking.
Amy grew up in the metro Birmingham area and has a BA in Psychology from the University of South Alabama. She also has a Master’s Degree in Human Services: Crisis Response and Trauma Counseling from Liberty University. Amy and her family reside in the Birmingham, Alabama area.
