Meet our Guest Presenters:
Dr. Shorten will share information about the UAB School of Nursing Women and Children’s Health Initiative (WACHI) – working towards a future where women and children in Alabama are achieving their highest potential.
Dr. Sharon Holley will present information on myths and facts related to maternal mortality in the U.S. and in Alabama and offer recommendations to improve outcomes. To improve outcomes we will consider what places with better maternal mortality outcomes are doing as we look to the future with improving our outcomes.
